This portrait of the original "Panama Hattie" sold for $250 at the first annual Coastal Cruise for the Cause

At Art Breakers Auction House, we think it’s important to let you know how we utilize the money that we generate from the art auction process. As an organization, Artbreakers enjoys many gifts from artists in the community. We decided to set a standard that takes into consideration the needs of the artists, and how to balance that with the needs of the community. Artbreakers observes a standard art gallery practice with a 50/50 gallery commission split. This ensures that the artist can continue to produce the works that make our world a more beautiful place and helps us raise money for cancer care. Here is a new piece that will be up for bid soon.

The money is divided between the artist and the foundation. Artbreakers pays the artist at the same time the money generated is deposited into Artbreaker’s account, with the obvious time needed for monies to clear. The rest stays in the foundation to help us with our mission and is tax-free.
