The Kimball Family Foundation is another group that Art Breakers has aligned with. Their spectacular, yet horrific, story can be found under the menu option “The Kimball Family Foundation.” Shelby Kimball and Kristy Kimball and Art Breakers president, Pier Fitts, met when the foundation attended Flagler Hospital’s Annual Cancer Survivor’s Day in June 2007. An instant bond was established and Art Breakers is very happy and proud to call the Kimball’s friends. The Kimball Family Foundation is also affiliated with the Flagler Hospital Foundation. Please read their story in the “People Magazine” article on our site.

The Kimball Family Foundation raises money for genetic testing. Kristy Kimball’s gene is used as a “marker” for genetic testing on their breast cancer patients.

Myriad Labs in Salt Lake City, Utah, is the only laboratory in the country that tests for the BRAC1 and BRAC2 genes, the gene that causes breast cancer. Testing is expensive and the Kimball Family Foundation works to raise both money and awareness from their offices in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
